Here it is...more long awaited (or at least as "long awaited" as something can be 4 days after the fact) video from Jazz Jams at Uptown Altamonte from May 19, 2012.  These videos feature Paul "Shilts" Weimar on the saxophone.  Enjoy :)

The 2nd musician on stage was Paul Shilts Weimar, a.k.a. "Shilts". Not only is he a great saxophonist but he was also quite funny.

I got several decent pictures of him...here they all are in one place, for you viewing pleasure.  :)

Again, if you've never been to one of the Jazz Jams concerts, at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs, FL, you definitely need to check it out!

As promised...here are a few video clips of Matt Marshak, live at Jazz Jams in Altamonte Springs, FL.

Sorry for the shakiness of the camera in the first few seconds of this first video....I promise it doesn't last long. :)

This 2nd video is one of my fave's from the day!  Talk about being in the right place at the right time!

This past Saturday I decided to join a few friends at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs for Jazz Jams, an event sponsored by 102.5 WLOQ.  I am so glad I did!  It was perfect weather and the musicians were wonderful.  As always, you know you can count on me to take more than enough pictures!  AND...drumroll please, I recently purchased a new USB video camera so you can also experience some of the sounds, as well as the sights!

The first musician was Matt Marshak.  He was so good, that I'm thinking one of his albums will probably find its way into my dad's hands by way of a birthday or Christmas gift. (If you are reading this and you know my dad...shhhhh...don't tell!)

Anyway, I took SO many pictures and video that there is no way I can fit them all into one blog post, so be sure to check back over the next couple of days, as I have enough content to fill 3 or 4 posts.  I promise to have them all posted this week!

Oh, and if you've never made it out to Jazz Jams before, this should most DEFINITELY be the summer that you give it a try....for more info visit: http://www.1025wloq.com/pages/jazzjamsuptown.html

The Daily Pic - Muhly Grass

Pin It Question for you....do you take your camera with you when you go garage saleing?  You should...you never know when you'll spot something photo worthy.  For example, this past weekend, when I saw the most beautiful ornamental grass.  I bought a baking dish but I also got permission to take some pictures of their yard.  It's called Muhly Grass.  I had never seen or heard of it before, but I'm definitely a fan!

The Design of a Palm Tree - 4

Pin It So this will be the last post featuring the photo of the palm tree that I took on September 20, 2011.  Click here to see the original photo and my first set of designs, my second set of designs or my third set of designs.

In this last set of designs, I used the colored blocks that I posted as part of my third set.  I took the blocks, put them together and then made a few alterations.  What do you think?  :) Rachael

The Design of a Palm Tree - 3

Pin It This is my third post that showcases my creativity in manipulating a photo I took of a palm tree.  To see my previously posted pictures of this palm tree, click here for the first set and click here for the second.

Here I have taken the original photo and made it look vintage.

In this image, I tiled the original image in evenly spaced rows.

In the next four images, I have given the palm tree photo the look of a hand-carved, rubber stamped image.  I liked it so much, I repeated it in multiple colors.

So, what do you think?  Leave a comment and let me know which one is your favorite! Pin It
